Test Results
Your doctor reviews all test results. Results should be discussed at a follow up visit with your doctor unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.
Repeat Prescriptions
It is important you are reviewed regularly. Please make an appointment before your prescription runs out.
Referral to a Specialist
To ensure the best continuity of care, the doctor needs to see you before a new referral to a specialist. A referral is valid for 12 months. You can make an appointment to see your doctor again after the Specialist consultation to answer any questions about the advice given by the Specialist.
Fees
The Doctors DO NOT routinely bulk bill. Consultation fees are displayed in the reception area and the receptionists can provide details regarding other fees relevant to you eg. removal of skin cancers, colonoscopy, etc. Health Care Card holders and full time pensioners are given varying discounts.
Reminder System
Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be a part of the system please let your doctor or reception know.
Management of your Personal Health Information
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of the practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by the ten National Privacy Principals available at www.privacy.gov.au/health
Patient Feedback
The practice welcomes your suggestions regarding the services we are providing and how we may be better able to assist our patients. If you would like to make a comment, complaint, or recommendation about any aspect of care you have received from the practice, please talk to the doctors or the receptionists. Alternatively, you can write to us.
Access to your Medical Records
At any time, if you wish to access your medical records, you can do so by making an appointment to see your treating doctor. Please indicate your intention to the receptionist. The fee for the service can not be claimed back from Medicare.
